Today Scout had his Cub Scout Cross Over Ceremony. His den moved from Wolf rank to the Bear Rank. It was complete with a big outdoor picnic for the entire Pack 1776 of Boggess Elem. They had pizza, a bounce house, basketball, and water balloons. The boys had a lot of fun. In June, his Den gets to spend the night at NASA Space Center in Houston. Scout is really looking forward to that!

Happy Easter!!
Happy Easter everyone!!! We were going to start the day the weekend down at Cedar Creek lake, but the weather was against us and Grandma fell and broke her hip Thursday night. So, we ended up spending Friday at the lake to celebrate Memaw's 84th birthday and then came home. Today we were going to start the day with the SONrise service at church, but it was cancelled because of the horribly cold weather here! Can you believe it snowed here yesterday, it's crazy!! Instead we started with a Big Easter breakfast, then went to church and came home for an Easter egg hunt!!
My lovely friend, Diane, in San Antonio, sends me my Cascarones eggs (confetti eggs)every year from San Antonio! She's never let me down and they made it here yesterday! I never asked her to send them, she just started one year after I moved back from San Antonio. It always brings a smile to my face when I see the big package sitting on the door step!!!
We'll be having Easter lunch in a bit and we will sit and talk with the kids about the true meaning of Easter. They both understand what today is REALLY about and actually listened to the sermon this morning!
I hope each of you have a wonderful Easter day and praise God that Jesus has Risen and we now are ensured of eternal life in Heaven!!!!

I'm Awful at this Blog Thing
I suck at this! I can never remember to update it! Let's see, Toby is now 10 (sorry Aggies) and Scout is 8 (and yes, that is pumpkin pie in the picture). We are busy now that spring is here. Toby started karate about 3 weeks ago and he is loving it! His dad ships out for basic training on Monday so I'm expecting Toby to be pretty bummed, so everybody email him!!!
Let's see, what else.......we are going to start going down to Cedar Creek on the weekends! Memaw's tenant didn't work out in Gary's old place, so we are going to invade it. They boys are really excited (especially the 6' tall blond one) and I think Memaw is, too (even though she probably wouldn't admit it!!) It's fenced so we will be able to take the dogs with us.
Other than that, it is the same old thing day in and out!

The boys had a blast at the game last night! We got there when the doors opened and they managed to get 4 autographs on their basketballs. They even got their picture made with Mark Cuban! This may not be a big deal to you and me, but they were so excited I thought they were going to faint! Scout and Toby called Brian to rub it in that he wasn't there and I think Scout called his mom every 10 minutes to give her a play by play! I managed to hide from them where we were

Are you happy now?
After emails upon emails of when are you going to create a blog---here it is! Today is a busy day. Scout had testing and Toby had Saturday school. Toby then had his last basketball game of the season! They won 18 to 4!!! You should've seen Scout he was so excited!!
Brian is at the boat show. It started yesterday and runs through next Sunday! I hope he sells some boats or we might have to come and live with you!!! Tomorrow is his birthday, so the boys and I just made him a pineapple upside-down cake! It's his favorite. Tonight I'm taking the boys to the Mavericks game and we get to watch it from the suite curiosity of UnitedHealthcare!
Tomorrow is church and a birthday party. Just another day in the life of the Young's!
