It's a Girl!

As if we all hadn't already guessed it! She is healthy and has all fingers and toes!! No signs of complications. She's measuring exactly 18 weeks, 6 days and weighs about 8 oz. So now everyone can go out and start buying things - NO PINK! I HATE PINK!!! Remember this as you are tempted to buy girlie things!!!!

We had our Level II Ultrasound, Brian had never seen anything like that before. It's really cool! All is well, only 21 weeks to go!

Vacation Day 7 - Karate Belt Testing & The Star Wars Exhibit

We spent our last official day of vacation back home. We started the day with Toby's karate belt testing. He is now an advanced yellow belt. After that we ventured to Grapevine to eat at The Rainforest Cafe and from there to the Museum of Science and History to the STAR WARS exhibit. Brian and I are pooped. We need a vacation just to recoup from this one!

Vacationing with kids is exhausting. We are happy we were able to do it, though. This one was special to us as it is the last one we will have with the boys before the baby is born. We hope we filled their heads with memories for years to come!

Beaver's Bend - Vacation Days 4-6

We made it to our final destination about 2pm on Wednesday. Beaver's Bend was like nothing I've ever seen, it's beautiful! The cabin and camping area reminded me a lot of Red River. We stayed in a cabin called Dale's Little Peace of Heaven.....it was definitely that!!! We spent the days hiking and boating and the evenings around the campfire making smores or in the hot tub (the boys away).

The boys also went on their first horseback ride. They loved it and were disappointed when they couldn't ride a second time. We also went canoeing and paddleboat riding. There is so much to do there, that we didn't get to do everything. It was a lot of fun.

As for the dogs, Maddie is the swimmingest dog you'll ever see. She stayed in the water as long as we did. She just swam around and fetched her tennis ball. Reagan on the other hand, just jumped in to get wet then sunbathed on the boat. They both seemed to enjoy the boat rides.

We should've booked the whole week, we know that for next time. There are so many pictures, I'm going to put them in an online album, but here are a few!!

More Day 3 Pictures - Cedar Creek Lake

Vacation - Day 3 - Cedar Creek Lake

We spent vacation days 2 & 3 at Cedar Creek Lake. Memaw and Gary went out on the boat with us last night, but I couldn't find the camera. I found it this morning and we got some good pics. Toby attempted wake boarding and Scout water skiing. Neither had much success, but we'll continue trying throughout the week.

The dogs loved the water. Maddie played a game of catch with the boys in the lake. Reagan mainly jumped in to get wet and then sun bathed on the deck. As for me, it was just down right hot! I couldn't decide which pictures to put on, so there are a lot. The boys were wiped from hours on the lake, so they slept on the way home.

We get up early in the morning to begin our Day 4 journey to the cabin! I'm looking forward to it so we can set up my hammock and I can read while they hike!

Aug. 12th - Day One of Our Official Family Vacation!!

While we waited for Scout to get home, Toby started his vacation lounging with the dogs on our bed. Once we got Scout, we officially started our vacation locally at the Frisco Roughriders game! The boys had a blast getting autographs and trying to catch foul balls. It was SO hot, I thought I was going to die. It didn't seem to bother
them that much though. We made it to the 9th inning when it was tied and I couldn't last through the extra innings, so we left much to the boys unhappiness.........Blame it on the pregnant one.
Today, we are venturing to Cedar Creek for a couple of days of boating. We also have to pick up our camping stuff because we rented a beautiful cabin for the rest of the week. The boys are going to rough it in the tent, I'll be inside with the air conditioning! Stay tuned, I'm sure this will turn into National Lampoon's with 2 dogs, a pregnant lady in 100+ heat, and 3 boys!!!
