So Princess Landry is 1 month old today. We stopped by the doctor's office for a quick weight check. She is up to 8 lbs. 8 oz. She's a little piggy. We are so amazed everyday by her and the new things she is doing. She smiles every time she hears her daddy's voice and turns her head to look for him. She has discovered her hands, too. She'll hold them out in front of her and play with them. She's starting to bat at the toys hanging on her play gym as well. We've started tummy time and her neck muscles are getting really strong. Her legs are super strong, though. You can stand her in your lap and she'll stand on them......She's Super Girl! Everytime she eats she holds one arm straight out in front her. We always say aloud to her when she does it, "to infinity and beyond! (that's a Toy Story reference for those of you that think we are nuts.) She is staying awake alot now, sleeping 6-7 hours (yippee) and her eyes are as blue as can be and her hair is getting blonder each day. Every day is a new blessing to us. We love her so much and are enjoying every minute.

2 Week Check-Up Today
Landry had her 2 week appointment today. She's up to 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long. The pediatrician was pleased since they are hopeful babies will be back up to their birth weight by then. He said all was well. She's been throwing up her milk every now and then after she eats and Brian was worried that I had bad boob milk (since I eat like crap so he says), but doc said it was fine and she was probably just sucking in too much air or had inherited his reflux! We're going to try a couple of tricks to see if it helps. He said she still had a touch of jaundice, but nothing to worry about and we didn't need to sunbathe her anymore. He said it's typical with breast milk babies that it hangs out a while longer. Our instructions were to get out of the house every day and take a stroll! A happy mommy is not a postpartum depression mommy!!
Brian went back to work today after Landry's appointment, so we'll see if I'm still a happy mommy by the time he gets home!

My Daddy Taught Me a Trick
Hanging at the House Today
I've had so much excitement this week that I finally just got to stay at home today. Nana and Grandpa came to visit. Grandpa was feeling much better so he held me for a while until I took a poop then he handed me off really quick to Nana, it was so bad she even gave me away, too! Nana knitted me 2 really neat hats to keep my head warm. You can see one in the picture, it matches the sweater she made me.

I'm 10 days Old Today!
I had to go get my foot pricked today for my PKU test. Mom made dad take me because she didn't want to hear me cry. I didn't, I slept right threw it.

My First Bath - (I Hated It)
The day started out good with my brother feeding me before he went to school.....then it got bad......Mom gave me my first bath yesterday and I hated it!!! It wasn't even a real bath, it was a sponge bath because the thing on my belly hasn't fallen off! Good grief, don't they know I don't care if I stink!
After that horrible experience she got me all dolled so they could take me to her work to show me off. Everybody loved me (and why shouldn't they.....I'm Princess Landry!!)

Day Seven Continued
Memaw and Uncle Gary came to visit today. Other than that same old routine! Well, apparently I deleted the picture of Memaw with Landry, I can't find it anywhere, hopefully she can email me the one I took with her camera.
Day Seven - Me & My Brother

Day 6 - See Nana...I'm not that yellow!!
Today Landry spent the day sun bathing to try and help her jaundice. She just hung out and slept, ate, and slept.........that's pretty much all she does.
Landry's Birth Day through Day 4
Here are the flattering pictures from the hospital that Brian took of me as well as the pics of Landry right after she was born. The rest are from the hospital on Day 1 through yesterday at Grandma's.

Landry's First Outing - Off to Great-Grandma's We Go!!
Well, Landry had her first outing today. After sleeping for 5 1/2 hours last night (yipee) we got up and headed to Grandma & Papa's house. Since they don't have a computer they hadn't even seen her. They couldn't believe all her hair. We had to trick Papa into holding her. I sat her down in his lap while he was napping so that I could get their picture! Susie gave her the first of what I'm sure will be many $5 bills. We stayed for several hours and Natalie ventured over to see her, too! We're home now and she's asleep, waiting for 10pm to be wide awake like clockwork.
We finally used all the film in the disposable camera we had to take to the hospital, so I will post "birthday" pictures tomorrow afternoon!

Landry Kate is Here!!!
Landry Kate made her arrival on New Year's Eve
12/31/07 - 8:29 am
6 lbs. 12.5 oz, 19.5 inches long
Mom and baby are doing great, just relaxing at home. Don't let the 16 hour long labor fool you. I received my epidural 2 hours after getting to the hospital, so I got to sleep most of the night before she came. When it was time, I pushed for less than 15 minutes. It wasn't too bad!!
