So this year we took a summer STAYcation instead of a vacation. It's too expensive to go anywhere so we decided to do things around here normally we would not do....
MONDAY - Six Flags Over Texas
What I learned from this day......I'm getting way too old for this crap. Even older when Brian and I realized it had been 15 years since we worked there. And even OLDER when we realized how old we would be when Landry was big enough to ride roller coasters!! TUESDAY - Relaxing and grilling at the house
Kevin and Becky are on their whirl wind tour before heading off to China so they came over for the day and we all just hung out. We grilled hamburgers and then went to the pool. Kevin and Brian played football with the boys and Becky and I played with Landry in the baby pool. After swimming everyone came back to the house and the boys challenged Kevin and Becky to some Guitar Hero and Wii playing. It was a good day!
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY - Going to the Lodge, Great Wolf Lodge
We headed to Grapevine to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, for those of you that don't know....They have lots of water, they have lots of fun, they have lots of everything for everyone.....and for those of you that do know, now you are singing their theme song out loud :-) Basically it's a hotel that has this HUGE indoor waterpark with lots and lots of water slides. They also have an outdoor water park as well. Once you get tired of swimming you are sucked into their MAGICQUEST game. It's this 6-8 hour game where you use you wand to find things all throughout the hotel. After completing 9+ Quests you then must complete 3 Adventures and slay the dragon to win! Toby successfully completed, Scout came close but couldn't defeat the dragon. We ran out of time and had to leave.....This is a sore spot for Scout as he wanted to win, too.......
SATURDAY - Belt Testing Time for Toby again
We got up Saturday and went to Toby's never ending belt testing. He's now an advanced purple belt, whoo-hoo!!!

Where is that babies cute swimsuit?? Only little boys get to go in the pool like that!!! JK had to give you a hard time. That baby girl needs a frily bathing suit!
All my friends have raved about the Great Wolf Lodge! That is a must on our list to try once Austin grows out of his crazy toddler stage! I think the Lodge might add a couple more gray hairs to my head if we attempt it anytime soon!!!!
Pain in the butt with a baby or a small one, honestly!! She has a beautiful swimsuit, just too much of a pain to take on and off to change the swimming diapers!
Looks like a fun "trip!"
